After more than two decades navigating between rave, bass music, reggae and dancehall, SCHNAUTZI – producer, DJ and founder of the label Argent Sale Records – is launching a new creative cycle: DANCEHALL RAVE. This project, conceived both as an artistic manifesto and as a natural response to his own journey, continues to explore the connections between Jamaican-inspired sound system culture (reggae, dub, dancehall) and the electronic “club” scene (rave, jungle, techno, bass music). A story of bridges, of historical and intimate crossings. 

DANCEHALL RAVE takes shape through a series of EPs and singles, a modular DJ show, and a visual art direction (Graphic Design, Dance and VJ’ing), to be rolled out during 2026. 

A MEETING OF WORLDS: 

DANCEHALL RAVE is a dialogue between two universes: the dub sirens of Lee Scratch Perry and the reese basslines of Kevin Saunderson, dancehall riddims and techno rhythms. This project draws its roots from the squats of the 90s, 7’’ and 12’’ vinyls, and the legacy of Jamaican diasporas that shaped genres like jungle, hardcore, UK garage, and hip-hop. Building on his journey, SCHNAUTZI weaves a bridge between these influences, driven by one vision: to make the dancefloor vibrate. The project unfolds through a series of singles and EPs, a modular DJ show, and a visual artistic direction (graphics, dance, VJing) scheduled for spring 2026. 

A CULTURAL HYBRIDIZATION: 

DANCEHALL RAVE follows in the footsteps of the Second Summer of Love of 1989 in the UK, a pivotal moment where cultures and origins intertwined in a social melting pot. The dancefloor becomes a space of unity, where one gets lost and found again, regardless of background. SCHNAUTZI combines King Tubby’s dub production techniques with the 90s rave hoover gimmick, creating a dialogue between past and present. The rhythmic pulse—frenetic and percussive—is the engine of this fusion, compelling bodies to move. 

AN IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE: 

Framed by a graphic identity where 90s references meet today’s digital technologies, DANCEHALL RAVE transcends sound to become a total experience. Under the direction of Kevin Table, a key figure of electro dance, dancers are propelled into a space-time portal, blending past and present. This project, nourished by SCHNAUTZI’s encounters and affinities, reflects his cultural DNA: a bold, precise, and explosive mix, where DJing becomes an act of cultural transmission aimed at uniting the audience in a collective celebration.

First release of ONE BAG A JOKE with Killa P on January 16, followed by around ten singles released in a waterfall format, ultimately forming a full-length LP by the end of 2026.
